【Abstract】 Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of antibiotic bone cement in treating post-traumatic infected wounds. Methods 164 patients with post-traumatic infected wounds admitted to The People’s Hospital of Nanchuan Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from March 2022 to March 2023 were enrolled as research subjects and divided into the study group (n = 82) and the control group (n = 82) based on different treating methods. The local wounds of patients in the study group were managed with antibiotic bone cement after thorough debridement, while the local wounds of patients in the control group were managed with vacuum sealing drainage after thorough debridement. The serum levels of inflammatory factors, including interleukin-6 ( IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), clinical efficacy, and wound healing time were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 weeks of treatment, serum IL-6 and TNF-α levels of patients in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( t = 13.860 and 16.094, both P< 0.001). The clinical efficacy of patients in the study group was significantly better than that of the control group (Z = - 2.343, P = 0.019). The wound healing time of patients in the study group was significantly shorter than that in the control group ( t = 4.852, P<0.001). Conclusion The application of antibiotic bone cement in treating post-traumatic infected wounds can effectively reduce wound inflammatory response, accelerate wound healing, presenting remarkable clinical efficacy.
