Objective: To explore an effective treatment plan for patients with deep second degree burns accompanied by cauda equina nerve injury, in order to promote wound healing, reduce complications, and improve the cure rate. Method: A patient with deep second degree ankle and foot burns (right) accompanied by cauda equina nerve injury was selected as the research object. Firstly, a comprehensive physical assessment was conducted on the patient, including nutritional status, wound condition of the right ankle and foot, and degree of infection. After admission, sensitive antibiotics were used for anti-inflammatory treatment based on bacterial culture results, and local wound ultrasound debridement, regular dressing changes, skin grafting, and other methods were used multiple times to promote wound healing. After 78 days of comprehensive treatment and nursing, the patient's wound gradually healed, the infection was effectively controlled, and ultimately achieved recovery, restoring good foot appearance. Conclusion: For patients with deep second degree burns on the right foot and ankle accompanied by cauda equina nerve injury, implementing comprehensive personalized treatment and nursing measures can effectively improve the cure rate and prognosis of patients, providing useful reference examples and practical experience for clinical treatment of such burns.
